Afternoon tea for three at Hatchlands Park, followed by a stroll around some of the extensive parkland.
We discovered this darling little foal in one of adjoining fields. She sheltered behind her mother for most of our visit.

Woke to beautiful blue skies, bright sunshine and a garden in bloom.
These stunning pink roses are a visible sign of the tender loving care my Dad put into his garden over the last twelve months.
And he has been awarded with the best blooms that this rose-bush has ever had.

I have noticed a familiar weather theme has been cropping up in some of my blogs posts recently, which is probably going towards fuelling and cementing the British stereotype of always talking about the weather.
So in keeping with the stereotype, I am starting this post with…in a rare moment of sunshine on Sunday afternoon I was able to nip into the garden with my camera and capture these pictures.
We have a number of these Hypericum bushes in the garden, more by luck than judgement. In the sunlight they are glorious and just radiate and reflect the light.
You may have also noticed from previous blog posts that I am not a committed gardener, in fact I more a fair-weathered gardener at the best of times. Which is probably why we have bramble bushes encroaching into the garden. We do have the benefit of these pretty white flowers at the moment with the promise of blackberries at the end of the season.
Pink is such a pretty colour. Hope you enjoy this collage of pretty pink flowers on this Bank Holiday Monday.

After enjoying the beauty of flowers for the last week, it is time to throw out the fading and dying roses from Valentine’s day, but not before I grab a capture for my 365 Days project.

Today sees the start of my own photographic journey for the next 365 days. After taking inspiration from Madeline Bea’s blog and a number of other friends who are also making their own photographic journeys, I thought I was ready for a new challenge.
My first capture for 365 Day is in keeping with yesterdays valentine’s theme. I received a beautiful bouquet of red roses from my darling husband, which I just had to capture and combine with a texture.
I spent the day up in the “big smoke” for a work related conference. During lunch break I was able to go out on the balcony and capture a couple of pictures for both The Creative Exchange and the Patterns and repetition in February focusing on windows.
