A bad moon rising

A bad moon rising

Travelling back  along the M4 after our trip to Bristol following a family get-together and there was a bad moon rising.

Autumn at Denbies

Back to Denbies Wine Estate on a more chilly October afternoon. The plan was to try to capture something of the grape harvest for the annual photography competition run by Denbies and Andy Newbold Photography

Unfortunately we didn’t really think about when we were visiting the vineyard, so ended up arriving at what must have been lunch time as we saw the tractors loaded with crates of grapers and the pickers returning to the yard.  Despite our bad timing, we ended enjoying a lovely long walk around the vineyard.

Morning yellow

Morning Yellow

Waiting on the station platform on a the dark October morning could have been depressingly dull and cold but for a little food outlet opposite that provided a little morning yellow.

Autumnal Walk

There is something satisfying about a family walk across Merrow Common on a Sunday afternoon in the dying autumnal sunshine, especially after a full roast lunch.
