December 12. Body Integration

This year, when did you feel the most integrated with your body? Did you have a moment where there wasn’t mind and body, but simply a cohesive YOU, alive and present?

During our stay-cation, our holiday at home this year, we did a taster session at in-door climbing centre local to us.  I haven’t done rock climbing since I was 13/14, as it had scared the living daylights out.  Even now, I am not a natural climber unlike my hubby and step-daughter who seem very happy to climb anything (including trees at the back of our house when we wanted to prune some of the branches).

I really enjoyed it and it was a great challenge to have a go at something that had pretty much scared my witless many years ago.  I wasn’t successful in all my climbs as the instructor had to hoist me to the top on one of the difficult walls and I gave up half way up another.  But when I got it, the rhythm and the technique right, it just flowed!
