Where have you discovered community, online or otherwise, in 2010? What community would you like to join, create or more deeply connect with in 2011?
I feel we are meant to live in community, “no man is an island” or so they say. We were not built to live alone or in isolation, though it sometimes it happens.
So where have I discovered community 2010? I have stumbled upon an online creative and photography community by getting involved in The August Break via Susannah Conway’s website. It was a great opportunity to meet new people and share the love of photography.
Over 4-5 weeks I collected together some of my favourite pictures from other participants. Here are some of my favourite pictures from Week 1 of The August Break.

For 2011, I would to really like engage more in my local community, to be a participant rather than a passenger. I would like to contribute and make a difference.

This is a wonderful post, Chrissy! I remember that mosaic so well – I was always waiting for the end of each week of August Break to see the next mosaic you assembled. You have such a great eye for that! I find it sometimes overwhelming to participate even in the “internet community”.
